I was meant to put on this entry 2 weeks ago, but life hasn’t been easy lately on me. I’ve so much things to do and additional office dramas to deal with.
I thought everyone says December is supposed to be a quiet month as business is slowing down due to the holiday, but nah.. not this year?!
Anyway, I went to Crown (and stayed there overnight!) with other Chemskill-ians and Waterford-ians for the annual Christmas Dinner. Went to Number8 restaurant. The service was really bad, there were 15 of us and we were placed in 4 small square tables. The manager said it’s the usual setting where there were 8 people on the next table using 4 small square tables. WTF!?!
I mean, at least try to find a decent excuse for once?!?
In the end, we were given some Moet champagne.. While that probably made some people happy, but to me.. that didn’t tickle me at all.. I get Moet everytime I go to Louis Vuitton events, and I still have a bottle of unopened Moet stored somewhere in the cupboard.. lol!
We were sitting down like sardines marinated in Moet…
The food was alright, nothing special. Maybe it’s because the dinner was a set menu. I always find set menu to be somewhat shit. LOL! I ordered South Australian spanner crab tortellini with wild garlic dressing and crisp leek for entree, Free-range Bendigo chicken breast, corn and basil rosti, bacon, and spiced jus for main, and Vanilla Creme Brulee for dessert. However, I found their desserts to be quite good. Their Vanilla Creme Brulee was nice and HUGE! Perfect
