Swine Flu

Wew… First we had the Singapore Flu (which was actually called Hand, Mouth, and Foot disease) a week ago and now we have Swine Flu outbreak.

In Indonesia, Swine Flu is known as “Flu Babi” (Pig Flu).

From what I read on the net, even though there is no vaccine at the moment people infected with the flu can take some anti-viral medicine as a treatment.

I’m not sure how there could be more than 100 people died if there are medications to treat the flu??

Maybe they were late taking the meds?

In any case, there is a point that I would like to stress (simply because Indonesian people don’t know their facts right…)

It’s that “Swine influenza viruses are not spread by food. You cannot get swine influenza from eating pork or pork products. Eating properly handled and cooked pork products is safe.”

The above statements were taken from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) website.

And how that related to some idiots here in Indo… Some people said that we can get the flu from eating porks.. Well, they should have checked their facts first before writing that on a newspaper…

When I read that article, I was worried that I couldn’t eat my pork.. Haha..

Harrier’s new plate number

5 years were up so it was time to renew the car license, and apparently every time we renew the car license we have to change our plate number. So we decided to choose a favourite plate number instead of just getting a shit random one. LOL!

After

As we all know, the Chinese people love 88… and this time it costs us IDR 5.5 million to get a plate with 88 on it…

And that KY bit at the end… it sounds to me like the word “Kaya” in Indo which means “rich” in English.. LOL!

Nice one hey?
