Congratulation Gugun & Putri!

This morning Gugun sent me an SMS informing that he needed to take his wife to the hospital, it seemed that she was going to give birth even though the pregnancy was only 7 months.

After a very long day for both of them, about 10 minutes ago Gugun gave me a call and told me that the baby has just been delivered!! At first I was scared something bad happened because he was crying on the phone, but then I realised that it was the tear of joy!

I think everything seems to be OK for now and I hope it stays that way – it certainly will be great for Gugun & Putri if everything works out fine.

Jakarta Trip July 2008

Hey all! Just got back from a 5-days trip in Jakarta (Bogor and Bandung!) with my dad. Well it was a business trip, so I didn’t really have time to properly relax though I made a quick visit at the Louis Vuitton store in Plaza Indonesia.

There, I put in my name on the waiting list for two upcoming Damier Graphite items – Sac de Voyage and Keepall 55. Even though they didn’t know about Graphite, at least they made the efforts to put my name down and they are going to contact me when they have the details. I think Graphite will be available well after August 1. LOL!

I was also fortunate enough to get the invite to come and see the “Louis Vuitton – The Art of Automobile Trunk Exhibition” at Louis Vuitton’s latest store in Indonesia at the Pacific Place. However, I couldn’t go as I didn’t have any spare time to go to the Pacific Place. Jakarta has traffic jams no matter where you go or what time you go. :S

Good thing is… I was fortunate enough to see two Indonesian singers – Rossa and Yovie’N'Nuno – at eX.

Next after Jakarta, we visited a city called Bogor. My dad’s friend invited us to stay at their new house which is SOOOO BIG and AWESOME! My dad has known this guy for a long time, and it’s always good to be able to catch up with him and his family – They are very welcoming and made us feel at home.

They have two really smart birds – dunno what they are called – but they could shake hands! WTHHHH…

Then after one day staying there, we went to Bandung to meet up with our customers and also our tapioca flour main supplier. OMG this particular supplier is so nice to us. They pampered us with good place to stay and good food to eat!

We stayed at Grand Setiabudi Hotel & Apartment, and we ate Baby Back Ribs for dinner and ate at The Duck King for Lunch – two of my favourite meals! LOL!

The day we were going to fly back to Surabaya, they also gave us a box of cakes and snacks! DOOOD!! That’s so awesome of them to do all this, and I’m very very thankful of them to make us feel right at home in Bandung.

At the same time, I also met two new friends – Maggie and Felix. Very nice people and down to earth.
