Harbin – The Frozen City

Our final trip in China is finally over! Even though we had a great time in Harbin, we’re happy to be back in Beijing where the weather is a bit kinder. In Harbin, it was around -20C in the afternoon and in the evening it was nearly -30C!

Try imagining your eye lashes and hair frozen, and that’s Harbin!

Well only my face and my hands were frozen when I was in Harbin, thanks to my super thick layers of clothes and my furry Ushanka (Russian Hat) – which BTW attracted so many attention for some reasons…

It was my first time to be in a place where the weather was that low, and I have to say it was an interesting experience. Harbin is an interesting Chinese city with Russian architecture so it was like being in a western country with Chinese people around me.

This year’s snow and ice festival was a collaboration between China and France so there were heaps of ice sculptures and ice lamps with French themes. There were also heaps of Olympics theme too!

Thank God my camera works in Harbin, ‘coz I heard some equipments can’t be used in extreme weather. So without further a do, let me show you the winter beauty of Harbin!

Ok, now I have to go back preparing my LV party. I have another meeting with Jason this afternoon, just to go through everything before tomorrow’s party!
