As I have mentioned (too) many times already, last night I went to the party of the year with my bro, his girlfriend, Devi, and Oliver! At least it was the best party for me.. LOL!
I personally feel last night’s party was better than the store opening party that I went to back in September, simply because last time it was way too crowded and I couldn’t chat with other people.
Last night’s party was quieter, it was open to the public but only the people with invites get the gift (Christmas candle!). There were drinks (Champagne, water, fresh coconut milk, and something which I believe is milkshake which I liked very much!) and food (Fresh oysters with cheese, and this sweet little cake which reminds me of an Indonesian’s cake that I like! LOL!).
Louis Vuitton also invited a group of choir kids to sing Christmas carols, and they did a lot of attention even from the passer by. A lot of people took their pics because they are so cute.. See the photo below…
We were in the store for about 4-5 hours last night, and I was fortunate enough to talk with Lilian, the store manager. She was giving me a crash course of how Louis Vuitton shoes, bags, and trunks are made and tested before sold to the customers. It was a very enlightening experience to be able to hear all of these processes.
Did you know that LV Neverful bags can hold up to 200Kg of stuff before the straps snap? Yeah, it’s true as LV did a test in their workshops..
Guess how many nails are needed to make a medium size LV trunks? roughly about 1700 nails all done by hands.. LOL!
I also learned that individual LV shops have to put order to the head office in Paris for their stocks, so they have to make sure that they are ordering the right stuff, the right size, the right quantities for the market. This is fair enough because every country has their own customers with different demands. I was quite surprised that this is the way they work, I always thought that every stores get allocated stocks from the head office.
While I was at the store I also had the opportunity to use the VIP’s room bathroom! Yeah, I have to mention that…
I saw some seasonal bags on the floor, mainly the Cruise collections. I also saw Tobago carryalls in yellow and red, and the leather is so soft! I was gonna get the red one, but decided not too since I wouldn’t use that much. So I decided to get the Damier Lune Trotteur Bag instead. More on this on my next entry..
We didn’t take that many pictures ourselves mainly because I swear the photographer guy was following us everywhere!
There were a few Louis Vuitton trunks stacked together to represent the Eiffel Tower just like in those limited edition snow globes thingy at the store. The manager invited me to take a photo in front of the “tower”, and of course I accepted her invitation. I also asked her and my SA to be in the photo with me.
The manager told me that they will send me the photos on the mail, so I will add more photos after I received them. My friends also took some pics on his camera, so I will ask him to send me the files as well.
I think that’s pretty much it about the party, and now time for pics..
Will add more when I have received the photos..
