Steamboat anyone?

Last night the seven of us went to this place called Min Bao Huo Guo Cheng to have dinner, my Korean classmate said this place is a good steamboat restaurant. And I agree.

Not only it was good, it was also bloody cheap! A full plate of sliced beef was only 5 RMB – that’s not even a AUD$1! You won’t be able to beat that price, not even in Indo!

The best thing about Steamboat in China is you have the choice of having hot soup or just the normal soup. You can also ask them to mix the two together if you want it less spicy. At some places you can even have two separate soup!

You also get different types of dip sauces as well.

The more people you go with, the merrier it gets as you can order different types of meats, vegetables, and noodles to go with your soup.

Oh their service was good too, well it’s not a surprise really considering the number of steamboat restaurants in Beijing. You just have to be more competitive than the others to survive right?

BTW, Steamboat is called Ma La Tang (麻辣汤), literally in English mean “numbing hot soup”.

Have a look at the picture to see how much fun we had last night, and of course please ignore all the beer bottles because we are all good students. Aren’t we guys?
