Hey all, just a quick post to update you guys with my situation.

I’m now in Beijing, arrived here nearly two weeks ago but hadn’t got the time to post updates on my blog.

Me and Can have been really really busy lately organising the Chinese course stuff (the registration, the placement test – which was DREADFUL!, the classes, etc.). It hasn’t been easy these past two weeks as it is very different here, VERY cold, and not all things turn out to be as I hoped.

Lets talk about the bad stuff shall we?

Firstly, we have been moving dorm TWICE in the past two weeks. First from Building 4, then to a room in Building 17, and lastly to a different room in Building 17. Candra and I nearly got separated because some fucked up things that happened between our agent and the dorm’s management. Don’t ask me what exactly happened or why it happened, but it was a VERY annoying thing to do – pack and unpack twice in only two weeks with a FREEZING weather!

Secondly, the communication in here with the rest of the world is shit (lets just be honest hey!). I thought Indo’s communication is shit, but apparently I was wrong. I can send International SMS to my friends but they can’t reply to me! How fucked up is that? Then if I want to make International calls from my mobile, I have to use this pre-paid IDD calling cards and the quality of the calls are CRAP! Sometimes the other end can’t hear what I’m saying – it is that LAGGY. Oh then coming to receiving calls on the landline in my room… everytime my parents call me, the connection gets disconnected after two minutes. How crazy is that??

No matter how many times I have been away from “home”, I always get homesick and the fact that it’s really hard to communicate with my family and friends doesn’t really help me. However, it also shows me who are the people you can count on – and those who you can’t really count on.

There is this one person who always try to reply my SMS-s when I asked this person to reply – even though we all know those SMS-s will never reach me. I told this person to try like more than 10 times, yeah I can be very persistent. LOL!

You know who you are.

Well those who I can’t really count on – lets not talk about them ‘coz that will bring me more headache. I’m just happy that I know now.

Moving on to the happier notes now..

They deliver food here FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE! How awesome is that? No more walking out in the middle of winter nights. The food here is actually pretty good, have no complain what-so-ever.

And another good thing – about LV (of course!). I have been to one of the stores in Beijing, and the shop is pretty good. It’s located in a hotel where there are other branded labels like Bvlgari, Gucci, Cartier, etc.
